As an alternative to laying slabs or concrete, this shelter base presents a faster, more budget-friendly DIY solution. The wooden shelter base is constituted of UC4 incised timber that is pressure treated. The pressure treatment ensures that the base is sturdy and guaranteed to resist decay for an impressive 15 years. The base dimensions: 7.5cm (h) x 236cm (w) x 182.6cm (d)
Plastic Shelter Base Kit
Effortless to set up, the 8×6 plastic shelter base kit is ideal for bypassing the hassle of laying slabs or concrete when preparing a base for a new shelter. Its interlocking design simplifies assembly and, despite being lightweight, it offers a highly robust and durable base for the shelter. Crafted from 100% recycled plastic, this shelter base is eco-friendly. Furthermore, it can be reused if the shelter is relocated. The base facilitates ventilation and drainage beneath the shelter, preventing the shed floor from becoming damp. To install the base, simply interlock the square grids and place on a firm, level ground. It is recommended to utilize 15kg of 10mm pea gravel per square (gravel not included). Each square measures 500 x 500 x 40mm. This pack contains 20 squares and heavy-duty, professional-grade weed membrane. Please be informed that plastic shed bases are not assembled as part of our installation service. A helpful guide on installing this plastic shed base can be accessed here. It is necessary to prepare the base as per the provided instructions before the installers’ arrival. Placing the base directly on grass is not recommended, and our installers will be unable to set up the garden building.
